About
Hello, my name is Michael Bailey and I am a sports journalist currently working for the Eastern Daily Press, Norwich Evening News and pinkun.com – as well as other Archant Norfolk titles.
It is a job I have been doing since 2007 and – I have to admit – it is a job I love.
The majority of my writing covers Norwich City Football Club and Formula One – including weekly columns on each subject here (NCFC) and here (F1).
I also enjoy being asked my opinion on such subjects – it’s a perk of the job.
I have written for several national newspapers including the Sun, Daily Express, Daily Mail and Independent, as well as the Football League Paper among others.
It is true sport takes up a lot of my time – and more often than not it doesn’t really matter which sport it is. That said, I still make room for music, travel and a host of other bits, bobs and news that keep my interest.
As far as background goes, I took my NCTJ preliminary certificate at No Sweat Journalism Training in Clerkenwell, London, before completing my full National Certificate Examination in Norwich.
If you wish to get in touch, that would be great. There are numerous ways of doing so across the site – so I will leave it in your more than capable hands and look forward to hearing from you.
