Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo during third practice for the 2016 British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit, Towcester.

Daniel Ricciardo will be hoping to show some of his past form for Red Bull in Hungary.

We are now into the second half of the 2016 Formula One season and as you will know, after all the fun and games at the front between the Mercedes drivers, there is only one point between Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.

The momentum is definitely with Lewis after four wins in the last five races and F1 is heading to a track he loves, with four wins in his career so far.

If you look at the Hungaroring track it doesn’t look that special – but we have certainly had some classic races over the years and I hope we have another one coming up.

Here are my betting tips for the weekend. Unfortunately I only have two bets as there didn’t seem much value in the points-finish market…

ONE – As I predicted in the NRF1 Hungarian Grand Prix preview podcast, I believe Hamilton will win this weekend, as he just seems to love this track. Last year he out-qualified Rosberg by half a second, but unfortunately the bookies agree with me so his odds are not that great. When looking for some value, I came across the odds for Daniel Ricciardo and was pleasantly surprised to see Betfair offering 8/1 for the Australian to win. This is the man that won the Hungarian Grand Prix in 2014 and finished third last year. The Red Bull will also enjoy the twisty nature of the Hungaroring too.

Daniel Ricciardo to win: 8/1 (Betfair)

TWO – One of the best drivers in the championship this year must be Sergio Perez, and he should have been picked by Ferrari to partner Sebastian Vettel next year in my opinion. The Mexican has achieved a top-six position in three of the last five races, and I think he will have another strong weekend in Hungary.

Sergio Perez to finish in the top six: 6/4 (Skybet)

So, short and sweet this week – but as always, good luck to us all and please remember to bet responsibly.
