Lewis Hamilton celebrates his grand prix victory at Sochi last time out. One more, and he could well be world champion for a third time.

If anybody had a pre-season bet on Lewis Hamilton becoming a triple world champion this year, this could be the weekend to get your money back and more – although I can’t imagine many would have predicted it would have been sorted this early, at the Circuit of the Americas.

It is predicted that it could be a damp weekend in Texas, so be careful with your bets – but hopefully I have found some value for you all…

ONE – My first bet is for Lewis to do the hat-trick – pole position, race win and fastest lap. I feel this weekend will be the one where Hamilton wins his third world championship and I believe he will do it in style. Also, Hamilton has a very good record in the US.

Lewis Hamilton to do the hat-trick – 13/5 (Paddy Power)

TWO – The Williams car should have some decent pace this weekend in Texas and hopefully Valtteri Bottas’ luck will change after what happened to him on the last lap in Russia, and he will grab the podium he deserves. Also, his odds are a decent size.

Valtteri Bottas to finish on the podium – 7/2 (Skybet)

THREE – Romain Grosjean has a good record at COTA with a seventh place in 2012, second in 2013 and 11th in 2014, and that wasn’t a bad result in a very poor Lotus car. So my final bet is for Romain to finish in the points this weekend.

Romain Grosjean to finish in the points – 10/11 (BetVictor, Coral & Ladbrokes)

Good luck and remember to bet responsibly.
